Daily Health Tip

Migraines are more than just a bad headache. They are a neurological disorder that have also responded to supplementation of different nutrients. Research has demonstrated that some people with migraines suffer from deficiencies in CoQ10, riboflavin, magnesium and vitamin D.

Making Changes

It’s important to eat a well-balanced and nutritional diet before reaching for supplements. Since your body absorbs vitamins and minerals more readily from your food than it does pills, your food is your best defense against disease and illness. What you put into your body is what your cells use for energy and to build new cells.

The old adage “garbage in, garbage out” is so true!  Steer clear of baked good and processed foods. As much as possible shop from the outside of the grocery store - meats, dairy and produce. Eat plenty of dark green leafy vegetables, raw nuts and seeds and organic pastured meats and dairy.

Many people are deficient in magnesium, so a supplement may be needed. Use a magnesium supplement for at least 3 months for migraine prevention, as it can take that long for your body to respond to the added nutrients.

Daily Affirmation

Adding the personal touch to delivery of unfavorable information allows others to feel considered. I appreciate when others give thought to my feelings. I know that the sentiment is the same the other way around.

In personal scenarios, I use my loving relationship with my family to drive my approach. I draw on our natural rapport and use past experiences to help frame my style of delivery.

Fact or Fiction?

African elephants are amazing creatures who are much more intelligent than you might imagine. They weigh up to 6,000 pounds and stand 10 feet at the shoulder. They are the world’s largest land mammal and they can’t jump. Those tusks you see are on both male and females and are modified incisor teeth used to root in the ground and defend the herd. They rely on communication and an intricate social network to survive. They learn through watching and mimicking. This video is an indication of well they’ve accommodated to living with us in their environment.
