Research published in the British Journal of Ophthalmology found that drinking one cup of tea each day can reduce your potential risk for developing glaucoma. Coffee, decaffeinated tea, iced tea and soft drinks do not have the same effect on your eye health. After controlling for confounding factors, such as diabetes, the researchers found those who drink 1 cup of hot tea a day have a 74 percent reduced risk of having glaucoma.
