IN YOUR DAILY DOSE today is research that demonstrates a significant advancement in anti-aging. You can feel better for more years, look better and suffer from less disease and illness. And, amazingly, this fountain of youth is found right inside your body.

IN MAKING CHANGES you’ll discover what you can do today that will grow your own fountain of youth.

IN FACT OR FICTION you’ll discover the one mammal on earth that can’t jump.

In The News

Research from the University of California has found that a leaky gut in the fruit fly can dramatically reduce the lifespan of the fly. Researchers used the fruit fly because their lifespan was relatively short and they could evaluate and manipulate the fly’s microbiome relatively easily.

What they found in the fruit fly was that within days before death, the intestinal tract of the fly began leaking. When the researchers administered antibiotics to kill the bacteria in the gut, the lifespan dramatically increased and the leaking was delayed.

Scientists believe that by maintaining a healthy balance of bacteria in our own gut, you can dramatically affect your potential for developing disease and increase your life.

Daily Health Tip

Many doctors acknowledge the effect of the digestive tract in your health. In fact, some call the digestive tract the largest, complex organ in the body. Our body has more bacteria growing in it than we have cells. In fact, there are 10 bacteria for every one cell.

By maintaining a healthy balance in your gut, you can increase your lifespan and reduce the potential for suffering from diabetes, weight gain, cancer, Alzheimer’s, stroke and cardiovascular disease.

Making Changes

1. Reduce your use of antibiotics by supporting your immune system. Get 8 hours of sleep each night, stay hydrated, eat a balanced diet, and exercise regularly.

2. Don’t smoke and reduce your intake of alcohol.

3. Take a multivitamin each day.

4. Control your blood pressure through lifestyle choices and medication.

5. Take steps to prevent infections, such as washing your hands, keeping your hands away from your face and not sleeping with your partner when they are sick.

6. Reduce your stress levels.
