In The News

A scientific review evaluated the effect avocados have on components of metabolic disease, which often leads to cardiovascular disease, stroke, diabetes and high blood pressure.

According to the review avocados have the most beneficial effect on lipid (fat) profiles, as they are well-known sources of minerals, vitamins, fatty acids and carotenoids. Daily Health Tip

Eating a healthy diet means severely reducing or completely eliminating trans-fats from your diet. Healthy fats are found in pastured, non-GMO raised meat and by-products (cheese and butter), and vegetables, such as coconut, avocado and nuts and seeds.

Making Changes

You truly are what you eat. Make small changes each day to include healthy fats in your diet while eliminating foods that are full of empty calories and chemical additives. Shop for your food along the outside walls of the grocery store and eat as many of your vegetables raw as you can.

Daily Affirmation

My overriding goal is to live according to my principles. I am committed to avoid being swayed by the glitter of other things that might tempt me. My dedication to living an honorable life takes precedence over anything that tries to distract me.
Fact or Fiction?

Although 13 rows of kernels is possible, it isn’t likely in an ear of corn. The rows of kernels develop when the seeds double. If you cut through an ear of corn you can see the evidence in the development of the tail of each kernel. Having an odd number of rows - possible, not likely.

Have a wonderful day!
