Fact or Fiction?

Carolina Panthers Quarterback Cam Newton likes to give away footballs after the game, but the NFL has a rule about that.

FALSE.  Cam Newton started the tradition of giving away after a touchdown to a young fan in October 2011. Then a meme reported that he was fined over $5,000 for each ball he gave away. The total amounted to over $250,000. However, there is some truth to the rumor because the NFL rules do state that players are fined over $5,000 anytime a ball is thrown or kicked into the stands for safety reasons. Carolina Panthers quarterback, Cam Newton, hands off these balls to youngsters and hasn’t been fined once.

Have a wonderful day!
